Embankment near Florence's Ponte Vecchio collapses

A section of embankment collapsed on Florence's Arno River on Wednesday, near the famous medieval covered Ponte Vecchio bridge. The collapse sent at least 20 parked cars and part of a road into a ditch.

Firefighters think it was caused by a water pipe break beneath the surface.
