On a late-October visit to see a special exhibit at the New York Botanical Garden (Bronx Botanical Garden to most of us New Yorkers) I was struck by all the color around me.
It's fall, and colors are to be expected, but because the Garden has so many plants and trees that live elsewhere and react differently to the changing weather than the locals do, it's even more spectacular.
