Two more airlines are joining OneWorld, one later this year and the other next as the alliance led by American Airlines and British Air extends its reach in the Middle East and Pacific regions.
Oman Air, whose plan to join was announced two years ago, will become a full member later this year, with all the usual arrangements for sharing elite benefits and codesharing. Oman will add to the alliance's Middle East strength, where other members include Royal Air Maroc, Royal Jordanian and Qatar.
Fiji, which has been an affiliated OneWorld Connect member, will take up full membership next year, adding to other OneWorld Asia and Pacific carriers including Qantas, Cathay Pacific and Japan Airlines.
