Gardens at the Beaches, Turks and Caicos

DSC_0496 (2)-001That’s Cadeen, on the left.

Cadeen oversees 37 gardeners on the nearly 100-acre Beaches Turks and Caicos, a Sandals property. I am walking the beautiful grounds with her.

There are five “communities”: Italian Village (where my daughter Olivia, my granddaughter Ainsley, and I are staying in a family room complete with a kid’s space).

Key West Village, French Village, Caribbean Village, and Seaside Village spread along a 12-mile stretch of pristine Grace Bay with its white sand beach and almost surreal turquoise waters.

She names many plants and flowers as we go on our hour-long tour. Each resort area takes on a different personality, and we pass from the formal Italian statues to the pastel buildings of Key West.

Please enjoy my tour through my photographs of orange firecrackers, purple Mexican petunias, brightly colored bougainvillea, and other island beauties.
