Good News: Airlines losing fewer bags. Bad News if it's yours!

2013 marked the lowest level of lost bags in 10 years, way down from the peak in 2007. Credit goes to better barcoding, scanning and tracking. The most common problem—bags that don't make your next flight when you change planes—accounts for 45%. The other data breakdown: Only about 3.3% of bags are lost or stolen, over 80% of "loss" is delay, and the rest is damage or pilferage. DETAILS
