Google Flights now has an added feature that can help loyalty-point collectors get the most miles for the buck by filtering and grouping code-share flights so you can choose which partner sells you the ticket.
With the changeover by United and Delta to awarding points based on price rather than distance (soon to be followed by American), this can make a big difference. Often, booking on an alliance or code-share partner can now result in a different miles award, since in many if not most cases the points will still be based on distance.
