Griffith Observatory is a Art Deco masterpiece that houses an observatory with space and science exhibitions and a great planetarium. It has free admission but it does charge for the planetarium shows.

Griffith Observatory has been and continues to be featured on many TV shows and movies, from Rebel without a Cause to LA LA Land.

Because of Griffith Observatory high profile, finding a close up parking space can be difficult on weekends and holidays. There are buses or you can hike a mile up the hill if you choose to visit during those busy times.
