Gumbo’s Pic of the Day, October 13, 2014: An unusual truck, Minturn, Colorado

Truck, Minturn, Colorado

The small town of Minturn, near Vail, presented us with a variety of unusual motor vehicles.  I’ve previously highlighted a very interesting Chevrolet Impala and a magnificent 1955 Crown Victoria that we enjoyed in Minturn.  Still, I think this Ford truck was my favorite.

Parked outside a great antique shop, it had an old Standard Oil sign mounted in the truck’s bed and a cattle skull anchored on the hood (a most unusual hood ornament!)  I challenge anyone to find another truck with those same two accessories!
