Gumbo’s Pic of the Day, Oct. 18, 2013: School group, Bratislava, Slovakia

I’ve previously described what a great travel destination Bratislava is (click here for that link).   Clean, historic, vibrant —  in a healthy recovery after decades of repression under the Soviet regime.

As we were walking into the city from its harbor, we came across this colorful group of school children obviously on a field trip.  It was fun watching their teachers organize them into tight groups of four or five that walked through the historic city, holding hands as they embarked on their great adventure!  Their excitement and fun were evident.  They have a lifetime of exploration ahead of them — the world travelers of tomorrow!
