Gumbo’s Pic of the Day, October 30, 2014: Halloween at Disneyland

Disneyland at Halloween

One of my friends just loves Halloween — in fact, it’s her favorite day of the year!  She gets excited about it months in advance and decorates her home and herself extensively for the occasion.

I enjoyed taking our kids trick-or-treating when they were younger, and still love handing out candy to those excited kids at my door, so it’s a special day for me, too.  When our boys were young, we enjoyed visiting Disneyland as a family just about any time, but the place really is at its best during the holidays, like Halloween, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.  The entire park gets decorated and dressed up and it makes a special day even better!

Today’s highlighted photos are taken during a Halloween visit.  One place I didn’t take photos of, because I didn’t get to see it until it was dark that day, was the Haunted Mansion — that experience alone is worth the price of admission!

Happy Halloween everyone!
