Here’s a chance to really dig Spain!

For those with an Indiana Jones bent, or just a yen to dig deep into the past a British company formed by archeologists is offering training and a chance to spend a week helping to excavate an Iron Age hill fort near Spain’s Atlantic Coast.

The fort, known as A Cabeciña, is in Galicia, in an area where work on other forts has shown that the Celtic people of the area were trading with Mediterannean traders long before Romans came to the area.

The company, DigVentures, specializes in crowdfunding to carry out its work; this project is part of the plan. They’re inviting “digital participants” to chip in €13, and for active participants to put up €937, which gets you a week of on-site training and participation, including food and accommodation.

For more information on the area and the excavations that have already produced a great deal of information, see TheLocal.es HERE
