CityHub opened in Amsterdam with a focus on technology. It was built in a former industrial warehouse and it features 50 sleeping units. Sleeping units are private, but bathrooms are communal and it has a hostel type lounge where guests can meet. It has a capsule hotel look to the place.
Among its tech features are RFID wristbands that are used for accessing the sleeping units and used for payments during a guests stay. It also provides a personal assistant cell phone app that controls the lighting, alarm clock and music streaming in sleeping units. The app allows a guest to send questions to hotel staff and provides a chat room to connect with other guests.
CityHub has Wi-Fi throughout the hotel and has partnered with T- Mobile to allow guests internet access throughout the city.
