When Claude Monet spent years re-arranging landscape and planting gardens around his home in Giverny, it was to give himself endless opportunities for painting the varied scenes and seasons, famously including his green Japanese bridge, seen above with a crowd looking out from it, the opposite of Monet's view toward it!
