They would certainly have felt right at home with the over-the-top special service for dogs and cats at Vienna’s luxe Hotel Bristol.
The hotel, on the city’s famed Ringstrasse, is offering a €50 per day service that walks the pets, coaches the owners on pet-friendly places to visit, and provides each dog with a personalize (with name!) chewing bone. Dog shampoo and toys are also available.
And for extra, there’s gourmet organic food that can also be delivered as room service, including €20 selections such as capon breast, beef tartare, or poached fish.
At the state the world and its people are in, it’s hard to know whether to laugh or rage at these foibles.
