By all accounts, the Eurostar train service that links Britain and the continent has been a success, carrying thousands every day and practically killing air travel between Paris and London.
But long delays in recent months, crowded stations and long lines are generating complaints that are leading some passengers back to the airport. The old promise of arriving at the station half an hour before train time, and zipping city center to city center without all the airport hassle may be fading as new security systems and heavy demand lead to scenes like the one above, taken at London's St Pancras in July.
Ben McPartland of TheLocal.fr and a frequent Eurostar passenger, has taken a long look at the situation; his report is HERE.
