JAL revives long-dormant Tokyo-Dallas route

Japan Airlines has just resumed service, four times a week, between Tokyo’s Narita airport and Dallas-Fort Worth. JAL dropped the route in 2001, and has served the route only be code-share on two American Airlines flights.

The JAL service, using a 787, will fly Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Aside from any Texas-and-Japan traffic, DFW is American Airlines’ largest hub and American and JAL are both major OneWorld members, which means that JAL will be able to book passengers through to dozens of U.S. cities on American.
