Sunsets are known as to date and time, but unpredictable as to the quality of light and type of image you might see on your camera.

When I last visited the Idaho Panhandle, after a day of bald eagle viewing, we had time to enjoy a beautiful sunset over Lake Couer d'Alene.

And the above photo nicely captured the "alpenglow" on these snow covered pines....
