On a recent trip to Albuquerque we decided to doour own version of the Breaking Bad Tour. We really enjoyed the show and thought it would be fun to see some of the sites that were featured in the series. One of the first places on our list were Los Pollos Hermanos (Twisters).
We rolled into town later afternoon and decided to have dinner at Twisters. This was the location of the fictional Los Pollos Hermanos fast-food restaurant chain that specialized in fried chicken. It also provided money-laundering and logistics for illegal activities by Gus. For those of you who didn’t watch the show, Walter and Jesse meet Gus while seeking a buyer for his high quality meth.
The actual restaurant, Twisters, is located at 4257 Isleta Boulevard SW in Albuquerque. Inside there is a huge Los Pollos Hermanos sign as you walk in the door. I had to take a picture of my husband in front of it, lol. They also have a TV that seems to be constantly playing Breaking Bad. It was fun to watch part of an episode while we ate our dinner.
Check it out and be part of history the next time you are in Albuquerque.
