Keukenhof opens 68th year of tulip display

Holland’s Keukenhof gardens has opened for the season, with over 100 varieties of tulips on display, along with daffodils and other bulb flowers. The attraction will be open through May 21st.

This year’s display is the 68th anniversary show, with millions of colorful blooms. Keukenhof’s theme for 2017 is ‘Dutch Design,’ honoring Dutch designers’ ideas in the field of fashion, graphic design, architecture and furniture design. The concept has been incorporated into the bulb mosaic, one of the themed year’s highlights.

Besides the flowers, there’s also a new entrance pavilion that should help handle the 1 million visitors expected for this year’s show.
