If you've ever admired (or tried to imitate) cowboy yodelers such as Slim Whitman or Roy Rogers, now's your chance to learn from an 'old country' master at a mountaintop resort near Salzburg.
Thomas Reitsamer, a professional yodeling instructor, gives the classes every Thursday through this month high up on Schmittenhohe mountain, which he says is "perfect because we have mountain views above and the mountain lakes below."
In the 90-minute class, he teaches different kinds of song, including the "ho-lo-di-yo," and breathing techniques. The history of yodeling goes into it as well.
