London's New Years Eve fireworks on the Thames will be a ticketed event this year, with just 100,000 tickets sold at £10 each. The goal is to reduce the number of spectators and make managing the event easier. The Mayor, Boris Johnson, says anyone who doesn't get a ticket can watch it on HD television.
