A former expedition cruise ship is now being marketed as ocean-going live-abroad condos based in Miami, but heading to sea in the Caribbean a few days each month, with longer cruises once a year.
The 290-foot mega-yacht Larga Vida is offering 50 condo suites that are larger than typical cruise ship cabins or suites at 235 to 360 square feet for prices ranging from $298,000 to $468.000. Buyers will also pay a monthly 'homeowner association' fee that covers meals and amenities.
The amenities include a gym, hot tub, beauty salon, cigar bar and more, as well as five extra rooms that can be used by guests. The biggest amenity: a $3 million sightseeing submarine with a professional pilot.
