When I travel, I usually focus only on the destination when I am retelling of my adventures and not the accommodation. But in India, I stayed at remarkable Oberoi Hotels and Resorts including The Oberoi Vanyavilas Wildlife Resort and I would like to share this resort with you.
Located near Ranthambhore National Park, many guests are here to go on safari in the hope of seeing one of the endangered tigers in the wild.
The national park was declared a wildlife sanctuary in 1957. In 1974 it gained the protection of the Government of India's Project Tiger conservation program. Since then, the number of resident tigers has increased thanks to dedicated conservation efforts in the area. The park is also home to Ranthambhore Fort: a vast UNESCO World Heritage Site that overlooks the park and dates back 1,000 years.
The Oberoi resort is the best 5-star hotel in the area, offering luxury tented accommodations inspired by the royal families' opulent caravans from a bygone era.
My tent was furnished with a canopied king-size bed, a large writing desk, and a claw-footed standalone bathtub. Colorful gardens framed my tent.
While not on a tiger safari, I wander through the gardens taking pictures of the exotic location and the rainbow of flowers blooming here.Colorful gardens framed my tent.
