Mar. 31, 2016: Cherry Blossoms, Washington, D.C.

I think spring is the best time of year to visit Washington, D.C.  The weather is still cool and fresh, and the thousands of cherry trees planted in and around the city are blooming.  The National Cherry Blossom Festival this year runs from March 20 – April 17th.

I visited Washington a few years back.  It’s got many fascinating attractions, but a highlight was the beautiful blooming cherry trees.

Love all these pictures. We have been to D.C. a few times, but never in the spring. Seeing this post reminds me that I need to plan a future trip in March or April sometime. Thanks for sharing these amazing photos.
