This is a big step up from even a luxury Airbnb: a vacation rental opposite Munich's royal Nymphenburg Palace, with four bedrooms, seven bathrooms, three living rooms, dining room, a fully-equipped kitchen, fitness center, home cinema and wine cellar. Not to mention original artwork by Damien Hirst and others.
And, with its two-year restoration and redecoration complete, it can be yours for only €35,000 a night, or about $42,000. And if the dining table for 12 isn't enough (unlike Airbnb, operator Langham Residences doesn't ban parties) there's a garden with enough room to seat 100 more.
The house is on the grounds of the Royal Nymphenburg Porcelain Manufactory, which owns the building. The world-famed workshop, last home of entirely hand-made porcelain, is itself on the grounds of the Nymphenburg Palace, which is a Unesco World Heritage site. It was established by royal order in 1747, one of several industries designed to bail out the royal treasury.
