Regularly scheduled service hauled by steam is returning to Britain's mainline railways for the first time in forever this summer, with a new weekly service between London Waterloo and Windsor.
Starting June 4 and continuing through September, Steam Dreams will run the service three times a day each Tuesday, using a restored B1 locomotive that was last in scheduled service in 1967 and a string of restored cars including a Pullman-style dining car and a First-Class diner.
The company also runs rail tours to many other British destinations using its fleet of cars and locomotives rescued and restored over the years.
