The world’s biggest Legoland park—and with room for more—will open next summer an hour’s drive from New York City at a site near Goshen, NY. It will be the third U.S. park after California and Florida.
Merlin Entertainment, which owns the Lego entertainment franchise, has now announced July 4 as the official opening date for the 150-acre park on a 500-acre site that will see expansion if the park is as successful as the company hopes it will be.
The area is in the Catskills, long a traditional summer resort area and is near the site of the 1969 Woodstock music festival. Like the other big Legoland sites, it will feature a hotel and other facilities.
