Nov. 4, 2019: Reich Brothers, Montreal

What makes Montreal a really interesting city to me is it’s architecture, old signage and reflections of the city in glass.. This Reich Brothers photo combines all of those elements.

The sign combines English and French and is painted on the Magasins de l’Hôtel-Dieu IV, a warehouse and office building erected in 1875 by nuns of the Order of St Joseph. Reich Brothers leased part of the building in 1940 and grew to occupy the entire building. The company stayed there until 1975.
