October 3, 2020: Raven, Grand Teton National Park

While enjoying views of the Tetons at a turnout in Grand Teton National Park, I noticed this rather interesting and photogenic dead tree...

As if on cue, a raven landed on one of its limbs and posed for me. Ravens resemble crows but are larger and have a heavier beak.

Ravens are very intelligent birds, important in the origin tales of American Aboriginal people.
