Canada's discount airline, WestJet, celebrates either its 5th or 20th birthday today—you decide how you want to think of a February 29th birthday. It's celebrating with an interesting timeline on its website, and with a new logo that represents a stylized maple leaf, Canada's symbol.
In the twenty years, it has grown from an airline that didn't fly east of Winnipeg to one that added eastern Canada and took on Air Canada on many routes, expanded into flights to the U.S. and Caribbean, and recently took delivery on its first widebody jets and opened service to Europe.
It's also known for its hilarious April Fools Day videos, and other humorous YouTube videos. If you've never seen them, click HERE
