Palo Duro: the Grand Canyon of Texas

On a recent trip through Amarillo and Canyon, Texas in the Texas Panhandle area, we took a detour to see the “Grand Canyon of Texas!”

While it was a modest-sized canyon, it was lovely at 7 p.m. in the slanting light. The added bonus of visiting in the evening: the temperatures were slightly cooler (mid-80’s).
