Paris, 1966

This photo was taken from the balcony of the exceedingly humble room where I lived on the 6th floor, French 5th floor, at 27, rue Tholoze in the 18th arrondissement. I shared a toilet a floor down, the shower was on the ground floor at a charge of a couple of francs. I had a sink in the corner of the room. It was all worth it for the view.

27, rue Tholoze in 2016 above. It was the Hotel du Moulin in 1966, with
Dutch friend, Luce, below.  We worked together at the theatre, Casino de Paris.

My camera was a Canon Dial 35, half-frame 35mm, black & white film developed in 1966.  Printed in my darkroom, sepia toned, hand-colored in the late 1990s.
