Paris to get “Living Museum of Cheese”

A new museum opening in June in Paris promises a unique addition to the ‘culture’ of the city, offering a view into the culture of cheese, in both senses of the word.

The Musée Vivant du Fromage, which will occupy the space that formerly housed a restaurant devoted to the food of ancient Gaul, says it wants to become “an essential meeting place” for cheese lovers, both novices and professionals.

Exhibits include both an interactive tour of France’s cheese history and heritage and tastings , as well as its own fully functional on-premises dairy, where visitors will be able to watch cheese being made. And, of course, there will be a gift shop. Admission will be €20 for adults and €10 for children.
