I don't intentionally seek out flowers to photograph when I travel. Still, their beauty draws me in -- every time between museums, historical homes, and famous landmarks, bursts of color beckon to be photographed.

For example, I was on a Douro River with Viking River Cruises when we stopped at a tiny village to explore. Castelo Rodrigo, a little medieval walled town, was a perfect backdrop for flowers.
