Queen’s grandson helps organize a Patrons Lunch for Queen’s 90th birthday celebrations

Peter Phillips, the Queen’s  grandson, helped organize a Patron’s Lunch street party  at The Mall in St James’s Park ,London on Sunday June 12th. It’s  to be part of the Queen’s 90th birthday celebrations and being held to honor the Queen’s lifetime dedication to service and mark her patronage of more than 600 charities and organizations. 

The event will have 10,000 people attending  and the majority of the tickets have been allocated to organizations and charities associated with the Queen. Those charities and organizations will be allowed to raise money with 40 % of their tickets. Also In  late February through March is a ballot  for at least a 1000 of those tickets that is open to the public. Winners of the ballot will be able to buy the tickets  from the event’s website for £150 .

Peter Phillips stressed  that  the event is not-for-profit event and it will have a “carnival atmosphere.” The Queen, her husband Prince Philip, and  her grandsons,  Prince William and Prince Harry, will be there for part of the day.
