Resort turns buses into vacation flats

At Singapore’s Changi Village, a new resort has made catching the bus the last stop rather than a way to get there, with a repurposed fleet of retired buses turned into luxury vacation rentals, complete with bed, bath and snack facilities.

WTS Travel, creator of the project, says: “By introducing The Bus Collective, we are redefining luxury hospitality, and pioneering an eco-conscious approach to tourism in Singapore. This visionary project showcases the powerful synergy between nature, tourism, and environmentalism for the greater good of our community. Through innovative thinking and resourceful execution, we are breathing new life into retired buses, transforming them into an unparalleled experience for our guests.”

The company has taken the bus idea a bit further as well, with an order for a fleet of new buses to take guests to local destinations and to destinations in neighboring Malaysia.
