Richard Gilder Center at the American Museum of Natural History

After two years of construction, the American Museum of Natural History, in New York City, has finished its newest addition, The Richard Gilder Center for Science, Education, and Innovation. Designed by Studio Gang Architects, this new wing of the museum gives visitors the feeling that they are entering a cave. The walls curve and bend with an organic feel that hearkens back to the work of Gaudi. It houses several new galleries, including the museums new “butterfly experience,” and provides a grand new entrance to the building.
