Signs and Street Art, Winslow, Arizona

My wife and I made a point of rambling around Winslow when we visited it for the first time this year.  It’s a tough town that has endured hard times since Route 66 traffic was largely diverted to the interstate freeway.  Winslow received renewed interest and a financial boost when Glenn Fry sang about “Standing on the corner in Winslow, Arizona”, and with the resurgence of nostalgia in Route 66.

Winslow is not a large community, but we saw some interesting art around town.  And. as usual, I collected a sample of local signs.
