A system crash on Wednesday forced Southwest Airlines to cancel about hundreds of flights, but the news isn't all bad: The airline has extended its fare sale by a week.
The computer problem that took down 700 flights on Wednesdays and left crews in the wrong places for Thursday, cancelling 400 more, also meant that customers trying to get in on Southwest's fare sale. So, if you're willing to take the chance on their computers, Southwest has extended the sale a week, to end on July 28.
