Just when you thought all the possible cruise-ship gimmicks had been thought of, with sky rides, roller coasters and cart tracks joining name-brand chefs and Broadway shows, Carnival comes up with another one: Home-brewing at sea.
The cruise line giant, which added a brewery at sea to Carnival Vista in 2016 and Carnival Horizon in 2018, is now canning and kegging its onboard beers to be served across its fleet. It's also adding a brewery to Carnival Panorama, set to debut in December.
So far, it's served about 300,000 pints of its private-label craft brews, created in partnership with Brew Hub, a Florida craft brew producer. Carnival's offerings are Thirsty Frog Caribbean Wheat beer, and two Parched Pig options, West Coast IPA and Toasted Amber Ale.
