If you plan on flying this Thanksgiving weekend, you'll have plenty of company. U.S. airlines predict 2015 will be even busier than last year.
U.S. carriers expect 25.3 million passengers to fly from Friday, Nov. 20, through Tuesday, Dec. 1, a 3% increase from 2014. Airlines are adding flight capacity to match the growing demand.
Lower fuel costs have reduced the cost of flying in 2015 and help generate $17.9 billion in profits for US carriers during the first nine months of 2015.
This, of course, does not count the tens of millions who will be traveling to visit family and friends by car and train during this weekend.
