The Pool at Jardin da Praca do Impirio, Belem

Located across the street from the Jeronimos monastery in Belem is a rather nice park, Jardin da Praca do Impirio. There are several ponds within it, this one flanked by statues of rearing horses. The park is quite close to the major river in Lisbon, Rio Tejo.

Within the pond I spotted several turtles and some all too cute goslings. Always nice to see a bit of nature in a huge city like Lisbon.
