The Tokyo Disney Resort, which is getting a Toy Story Land as part of its expansion plans, will also get a Toy Story Hotel, following the model of one which is already open at Shanghai’s Disney destination.
Designed to look as if it’s made up of toys, the hotel follows the theme of the popular movie series, which has a new Toy Story 4 premiering soon. The 11-story building will have up to 600 rooms, each themed to look like ‘Andy’s room,’ home of the human owner of the come-to-life toys.
Disney says that when the hotel opens in 2021, it will be priced as ‘very affordable,’ because of its standardized rooms. Of course, that may be ‘affordable’ by comparison with other Disney hotels.
