A TSA fee hike goes into effect for tickets sold on July 21st or after unless Congress blocks it at the last minute. The security fee goes up from $5.00 to $11.20 for direct round trip flights. Also the rules get more complex and expensive for more flight legs The TSA will charge $5.60 for each flight leg that occurs more than 4 hours following a previous domestic flight. So flights with long layoves will get taxed doubly. Now it's taxed as a one way trip.
