United & Orbitz Sue Skiplagged.com Over 'Hidden Ticketing'

Bloomberg reported that United Airlines and Orbitz sued Skiplagged.com in Chigago's Federal Court  to prevent the travel website  from helping people  buy what they called  “hidden city” plane tickets .

Hidden city ticketing happens when a passenger leaves at a connection place instead of completing their ticketed journey.

Good for young Aktarer! 

 

I don't see any harm in the practice.  Airlines might not like it, but the behaviour falls squarely on their unreasonable shoulders.  If you make a practice of fleecing folks, they'll find ways to make their dollars stretch farther.
