Unusual Spring Break: Try Wichita!

It’s not the first place that comes to mind for a Spring Break, but Marilyn Jones found a lot to recommend and a lot to do in Wichita that week!

I recently visited Wichita, Kansas, and can tell you it has an amazing variety of wonderful attractions and a perfect Spring Break destination.

Sedgwick County Zoo, with more than 3,000 animals representing 400 species, this zoo promises a day filled with excitement and education for visitors of all ages.

One of my favorites is Botanica Wichita Gardens. With several themed gardens with lovely floral displays, you will find a treasure like I did.

The museums are wonderful too. From the Kansas Aviation Museum and the

Museum of World Treasures to Old Cowtown Museum, Exploration Place, Mid-America All-Indian Center, and Wichita Sedgwick County Historical Museum, there is a lot to discover!

Add to this downtown with its art installations, excellent restaurants, and great shopping opportunities, and you have the perfect vacation destination.
