The Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) amended several parts of the travel regulations to Cuba in a final note that went into effect on Sept 21st. The modified regulations are designed to make business easier in travel, telecommunications, banking and Internet-based services.
These new amended regulations will eliminate caps on the amounts of money that can be sent from the U.S. to Cubans and also will allow some Americans to open bank accounts in Cuba.
