Viking plans round-the-world cruise for new ship

Viking Ocean Cruises, younger sibling of Viking River Cruises, is planning an ambitious 66-port 5-month itinerary as the maiden voyage for its newest ship, Viking Sun when it’s delivered late next year.

The cruise will leave Miami Dec. 15, 2017, and arrive in London 141 days later, after stopping in Cuba, the Caribbean, Asia, the Middle East and Europe. Ports with overnight stops include Havana, Papeete, Auckland, Shanghai, Sydney, Bangkok and Singapore.

Prices for the 930-passenger cruise start at $44,999 per person—but to be fair, that $320 a day includes all meals, port excursions, gratuities, WiFi and business-class air to and from.
