Viking scores a cruise award trifecta

For the first time, one cruise line took top honors for river, ocean and expedition cruising in the Conde Nast Traveler Readers Choice Awards, with Viking taking all three. Viking had previously won river and ocean honors together two years in a row.

The survey, which involved over half a million responses from the magazine's readers, covers a wide variety of travel experiences; the full results are here. Travel and Leisure magazine's readers also awarded Viking the three top spots. The line has also been cited in the Cruise Critic's Cruisers Choice awards in several categories.

Viking's ships in all three categories have itineraries and resources for curious travelers, but no casinos, children, and other features of larger cruise lines.
