WestJet, Air North, new directions

Starting this week, it’s a lot easier to fly between Canada’s far north and the rest of the world as Air North, Yukon’s airline, begins its interline agreement with WestJet.

Air North serves a dozen Canadian destinations, including four in the Yukon and Inuvik in the Northwest Territories. WestJet, which started almost 30 years ago as a low-cost regional airline, now serves over 100 destinations in 26 countries.

Passengers will now be able to reach any of WestJet’s destinations on a single ticket bridging the two airlines, or travel from any of those cities to destinations such as Whitehorse, Dawson, Yellowknife and Old Crow.
